World Cup fever at Wolsingham
A group of enthusiastic footballers have won the Wolsingham World Cup. All tutor groups took part by purchasing a country form the Brazil 2014 World Cup for £1 per a team and then played football in their team’s national colours.
Congratulations to the Year 7 and 8 Boys Cricket Team as they reached the semi-finals of the Wear Valley and Teesdale Level 2 School Sports Games at Sedgefield CC on Wednesday.
Festival of Language
On Friday 4th July the whole school community took time out to celebrate the spoken and written word. Each faculty area engaged in literacy-based activities during lesson times, we all 'dropped everything to read' at a given time in the morning and even the canteen food was alliterative.
Nick Ingram has been picked for the Durham County Rugby Squad. Competing against hundreds of hopefuls in the county, securing a place on the squad is testament to his hard work and determination.
Bringing the World to Wolsingham
In June, Wolsingham School and Community College welcomed a second group of Russian school children and their teachers as part of our International Link with schools in Moscow and St. Petersburg.
