Psychology and Sociology students from the Sixth Form took part in a ‘Crime Day’ with Teesside University; students learned about Policing, Crime and Investigation and also Crime Scene Science Higher Education opportunities on offer. Several students are considering a career in this field.
Uniform Consultation Results
Prior to the Easter break we wrote to all parents and carers in relation to a new school uniform consultation. In addition to this we spoke to all students via school assemblies and all staff in a meeting. The consultation period closed on Monday 13th April and the results have now been collated.
Ultimate STEM Challenge Finals
In March two of our STEM Club members, Max Cruddas and Jordan Pirt, travelled to London to take part in the finals of the BP Ultimate STEM Challenge, a national competition for Key Stage 3 pupils. The event was hosted at the Science Museum where the boys were one of only six teams to reach the final.
Eight Year 9 girls attended Newcastle University’s Dragonfly Day on Tuesday 17thMarch, aimed at encouraging more girls to consider a career in Engineering.
