Wolsingham School and Community College opened its doors to a new Martin Gray Football Academy in November, unveiling smart new kits and the squad of 50 promising footballers.
In October 2014, nearly 70 years after the end of the Second World War and the discovery of the Holocaust, Wolsingham students visited the deeply moving and historical Prisoner of War camp, Auschwitz in Poland.
Isaac showcases his collection
Isaac Hall Nixon recently showcased his debut collection ‘Black Widow’ at the FDC Young Designer Awards Collection Showcase in the prestigious Pullman Hotel on Euston Road, London.
World Challenge News
On Saturday 8th November the Sixth Form world Challenge group successfully completed a 14 mile walk through Hamsterley Forest. Students took part in this fundraising event to raise money for their World Challenge taking place in Morocco next July.
Year 7 Creative Writing
The year was 1953. Harris Burdick stepped into the office of children’s book publisher Peter Wenders. Mr Burdick reached into his oversized bag and produced fifteen beautifully illustrated pictures. Each charcoal image had a title and the opening line of a story..........
Tag Rugby Festival
A group of sports leaders taking GCSE Sport at Wolsingham School supported a Tag Rugby Level 2 competition involving five of our local primary schools; Peases West, Witton-le-Wear, Blessed John Ducket, Howden-le-Wear, and Stanley Crook.
